Zoom Statement by Yemeni Americans Supporting the Revolution in Yemen
 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Popular Support Committee for the Revolution in Yemen – Media@SupportYemen.com
The United States’ acceptance to treat Ali Abdullah Saleh, the overthrown president of Yemen, in one of its finest hospitals is a back-stab to humanity and human rights. Since the uprising started in Yemen,. January of 2011, about 2000 people have been killed including a significant number of  children and women. All were murdered while protesting peacefully to demand social equality, free elections, and an end to a corrupt regime.
We as Yemeni Americans, supporters of Yemeni youth in the Change squares in Yemen, express our anger and frustration towards admitting a criminal against humanity to the United States. The Yemeni people were brutally attacked and massacred on several occasions for expressing their freedom of speech and assembly; a right which the U.S. values in its constitution and should support. Instead, the U.S. is shamefully treating the aggressor and oppressor of 24 million people in Yemen. Instead of standing by the people in Yemen, who were brutally attacked just because they expressed their freedom of speech and assembly, the United States is shamefully treating the aggressor and the killer of more than 2000 of their young ambitious youth in 2011 alone.
We as Yemeni Americans siding with the peaceful revolution have been calling the Obama Administration to take a clear stand with the Yemeni people since February 2011. Unfortunately  from what we have been watching, the U.S. is siding with the  dictators, Ali Saleh and his thugs. The last thing the U.S. did in support is admitting him to its finest hospitals in New York City. This criminal, Ali Abdullah Saleh, must be sent to ICC not NYC!
