July 19th marks the 36th anniversary of the fall in combat Mario Roberto Santucho, leader of the PRT-ERP of Argentina.
From Puerto Rico, the Socialist Workers Movement (MST) sends fraternal greetings to the ceremony in homage to Santucho and the PRT-ERP guerrillas who fell fighting in Villa Martelli. We also extend a greeting to the Argentine justice fighters today who have raised the banner of PRT-ERP, to all those who have not caved in and continue building the revolutionary instrument of the workers and poor people.
The figure and thought of Santucho and other important leaders of the PRT-ERP are representative of a generation of fighters of our America. Those who with great determination and sacrifice were able to give historical continuity to the political thought of Che Guevara to the construction of the revolutionary project in Argentina, and the momentum of the fight in our American continent. From Puerto Rico, the MST take up the example of Santucho and PRT-ERP as an integral part of the experience of struggle that contributes to the development of consciousness, character and the will of the revolutionaries of our people.
We reaffirm our solidarity with all the revolutionary organizations, and any and all Argentine fighters, who from his trench of struggle hoist the banner of PRT-ERP and promote the construction of the revolutionary project of the workers. Santucho lives in the struggles of our people!
