Gather at Government Center Station, March to Bayfront Park, Miami
To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the protests against the Free Trade Area of the Americas summit in November 2003, the FTAA+10 Working Group has convened to create an educational campaign to raise public awareness about the misnamed phenomenon of “free trade,” neoliberalism and the impending Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
This march will start at Government Center Station and end at the The Torch of Friendship/Bayfront Park, and will feature an anti-globalization/police brutality PUPPET PARADE that everyone can participate in plus more programming to follow at the Torch.
Schedule of events for the FTAA+10
"The Miami Model," hosted by the FTAA+10 Working Group Nov 8th, 7 pm
Food Not Bombs Kicks off the FTAA+10, Friday Nov 15, 7 pm
Stop The TPP March, Saturday Nov 16 1 pm
Speaking About “Free Trade”, Organizing Resistance, an FTAA+10 Event Nov 17 3 pm
Just as the anti-globalization movement sought to unite a broad coalition for social justice by converging in Miami in 2003, we seek to wake up the world to the murderous and exploitative free trade agenda, and imagine a society where elite corporate interests are disallowed from using all of humanity as tools for their profit. We see free trade as nothing more than a free pass for imperialist economic domination.
