The Donetsk People’s Republic issued an envelope and stamps for the 100th anniversary of the creation of the USSR

Donetsk, Dec 29 - A postal block and an envelope dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of the Soviet Union were put into circulation on the territory of the DPR. This was reported today in the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise “Post of Donbass”.

It is noted that the postal block No. 64 consists of 15 stamps – according to the number of republics that were part of the union. The stamps are made in the same style: the background of each of them is the flag of the corresponding republic, in the lower left corner – the coat of arms of the republic, the name of its capital, in the right part – memorable places and buildings.

For example, a stamp in honor of the RSFSR depicts one of the towers of the Moscow Kremlin and the Bell Tower of Ivan the Great, the Ukrainian SSR, the Golden Gate and a monument to the founders of Kiev. The circulation of the block is 3000 copies, the price of each stamp is 42 rubles, the entire block is 630 rubles.

On the left side of the envelope is a map of the USSR, below it the inscription “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. 100 years". On the reverse side of the envelope are the first two verses of the USSR anthem. Envelope circulation – 3000 copies, price – 35 rubles.

Recall that on December 30, 1922, the First All-Union Congress of Soviets proclaimed the formation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, adopting the Declaration and Treaty on the Formation of the USSR.
