Washington, D.C.: Demonstrate to Appreciate and Defend the Alliance of Sahel States!

Thursday, October 24 - 12:00 pm

Gather at Embassy of Mali, 2130 R Street NW, Washington, DC

The Black Alliance for Peace's U.S. Out of Africa Network is calling on everyone who supports self-determination in Africa to turn out on Thursday October 24th, at noon, to rally outside the embassies of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso (all within 3 DC blocks) in a show of support and appreciation to those countries for expelling AFRICOM from their territories, and for their roles in forming the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). We are demonstrating also to affirm that we will not allow any of these countries to suffer the fate of Libya in 2011 at the hands of NATO led by the U.S.

The demonstration will begin by assembling at noon outside the Embassy of Mali at 2130 R Street NW, DC where we will hold a 20 minute rally. Then march one block to the Embassy of Niger at 2204 R Street NW, DC for another short rally. Then proceed to end at the Embassy of Burkina Faso at 2340 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC where we will conclude. In an historical expression of appreciation, each embassy will be presented with a formal letter.

This is a pivotal time for the struggle against imperialism in Africa. The emergence of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) represents an historic breakthrough for Pan-Africanism that the U.S. and NATO are eager to eliminate.

Join us!

On July 24, tens of thousands took to Washington, D.C.’s streets to protest war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu’s United States Congress address. The police presence in response to the pro-Palestine and pro-human rights protesters was unprecedented.

After a rally near the corner of First and Constitution Avenues, the protesters began a march around Capitol Hill. They were almost instantly confronted by the police, whose first action to “de-escalate” the situation was to shower the demonstrators with pepper spray and pepper pellets.

We joined thousands in Washington, D.C., July 24 protesting the disgusting Congressional welcome to U.S. puppet war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.

Police from multiple agencies, including NYPD, attacked protesters with flashbangs and pepper spray. Undeterred, they raised Palestine’s flag at Union Station and burned the U.S. rag.

National Mobilization: The People Charge Netanyahu with Genocide!

Wed. 7/24 - 11 a.m. Pennsylvania Ave & 3rd St. NW, Washington D.C.

Peoples Power Assembly will be meeting 10:30 am at Upper Senate Park with ILPS - Look for our green banner

When war criminal Netanyahu comes to Washington DC on July 24, we will mobilize and issue a notice of a citizen’s arrest!

The people of the world stand with Palestine and against the genocide committed by Israel with full support of the United States and impunity.

Join us in forming a People’s Red Line Against genocide around the Capitol building!

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the genocidal state of Israel should be arrested for war crimes and crimes against humanity. In fact, the International Criminal Court has requested arrest warrants for him and Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defense of Israel. We won’t let a war criminal walk the streets of DC.

If Biden and the US administration refuse to draw a real red line against genocide, WE WILL! We are the red line! Wear red!

On July 24, Israeli Prime Minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit Washington, DC. Netanyahu is scheduled to address a special joint session of Congress and is expected to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House, although this has not yet been confirmed. A meeting with the next U.S. president-in-waiting Donald Trump is also expected to be organized.

Meanwhile a national demonstration is being called by a wide range of organizations to greet the Zionist president by surrounding the US Congress to take a stand with the Palestinian people and to demand an end to the genocide.

Hundreds marched in the streets of Washington, D.C., under the banner of the Resist NATO Coalition, initiated by the International League of Peoples Struggle U.S. Chapter.

Andre Powell of the Baltimore Peoples Power Assembly proclaimed: “The trillions and I say trillions spent on the U.S. state apparatus which includes not only NATO, U.S. military bases, AFRICOM, the CIA, the FBI, and every rotten fascist cop in every city and rural area — could provide for our people!”

The only way to end the carnage and wars threatening to engulf the world is to say “no more” to the domination of the U.S. military-industrial complex and Wall Street.

The People’s Summit & Mobilization by the Resist NATO Coalition provides a strong response to the NATO 75th anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C., on July 10-11.

One hundred thousand people surrounded the White House on June 8 to stop the genocide in Gaza. They held a two-mile-long red banner that stretched around the White House grounds.

This people’s “red line” not only symbolized the 40,000 Palestinians killed with U.S.-made and paid-for bombs and shells. Protesters were also making a vivid challenge to President Joe Biden’s lying statement that an Israeli invasion of Rafah would represent a “red line” to him.
